Tasting Notes, Ribeira Sacra, Spain

Sacrata red 2007, 2008 – tastes like a roble, meant to be drunk young
Sacrata  white 2007, 2008 – godello, treixadura – very powerful, needs time
Lalana 2004, 2005 –  blend of mencia, mouraton, brancellao, garnacha  - rounding out, cool and earthy
Brancellao 2005 – very aromatic, earthy mouthful
Lacima 2002, 2004, 2005 – from oldest vines, 80 – 100 years, 100% mencia, structured and serious, ’04 & ’05 need time, young and full-bodied, ’02 is in form
LaPola 2004,2006 – ’04 notes like white Bordeaux, live and direct,  ’06 closed yet creamy
LaPena 2004, 2005 – 100% godello, lime inflected, creamy, fat, ’04 resembles semillon
