2004 Paola Bea Santa Chiara

E-mail Print PDF
Paola Bea is famous for their lush, beautiful Sagrantino de Montefalcos, easily one of my favorite grapes in all of Italy.  The price point always puts these wines in the splurge category, but every now and then I save up my quarters. I am always looking for unusual whites.  I have been a white wine lover long before I became smitten with reds.  This malvasia/semillon blend is spectacular.  The wine was bright, well balanced and paired perfectly with an appetizer of clam, pork, and shishito (Japanese spicy green pepper).

ROOSTER SCORE: 95
